Eyelash extensions are a semi-perminent beauty service where a professional adheres synthetic fibers to individual natural lashes with a medical grade adhesive. Eyelash extensions last up to around 4 weeks, depending on your natural shedding cycle and retention. The service has gained popularity for it's flattering affect on the face by lengthening and adding fullness to your lash line. This is a perfect service to achieve a "ready" look with minimal makeup and no mascara.
Please arrive to your appointment with no makeup and clean lashes. If you wear contacts, please take them out prior to your appointment or bring necessary items to do so before we begin the service. If it is your first time at the studio, we will sit down and have a consultation to go over lash education, and plan out your style. Every set of lashes is done custom to the unique client.
Keep your lashes clean using a lash specific oil free cleanser. Use this daily to absorb oils from skin, debris, and makeup. Cleansing your lashes DAILY means that you will be cleansing them about 14-21 times in between fills.. This will prevent bacterial infections and wash away build up along your lash line.
Avoid products used on the face that contain oils. Oils can disintegrate the adhesive and cause a premature break in the bond to the natural lash to extension, leading to early fall out.
DO NOT put mascara on your lashes. Not only is the mascara difficult to clean off, it will close your "fans" and cause a clumpy mess. If you feel the need to put mascara on, you might want to consider a fuller look.
Use makeup that is oil free and always cleanse it off completely with your lash specific cleanser and bristle brush. If using eyeliner, It is recommended to use a felt tip eyeliner instead of pencil.
Try your very best to sleep in a way that does not smush your lashes into the pillow. Satin pillow cases work wonders!
Give your lashes a brush each day in the morning or after the shower.
PRO TIP: It's nice to have multiple brushes in places you might need one, like in your purse!
Avoid excessive rubbing, touching, and itching of your eye area.
DO NOT pick at your lashes. This can cause you to pull your natural lashes out of the follicle, resulting in long term damage to the follicles ability to grow a lash there.
DO NOT try to remove your lashes at home. Please book a removal at any reputable salon to avoid damage to your eyes/natural lashes.

Lash extensions last up to 4 weeks on average. However, we are each unique to the way our lashes shed and retain extensions. While extensions might last on one person for 5 weeks, they might last 2 for another. Our aftercare practices, shedding cycle, body chemistry, and lash finish all factor into retention rates.
